Kate Thorndike

President of the Board

Kate is a lifetime lover of all animals, large and small, and calls a lovely buckskin Morgan mare her own. She has volunteered at Miracles In Motion and other therapeutic riding programs for years. After raising two children, she returned to the workforce with a focus in Municipal Management..

Susan Gilbert

Treasurer of the Board

Susan is a CPA and the Vice President at Anderson & Gilbert, Inc. and has more than 25 years of experience in accounting. Susan holds a BS in Accountancy and an Associates of Science in Management from Bentley College.

Becki Marrero

Secretary of the Board

Volunteer Coordinator 

Becki has been an Emergency Services Dispatcher for just over 16 years but caught the horse bug from her mom who raised and showed horses. Becki has been a dedicated volunteer to Miracles In Motion and a local equine rescue. She is also a Volunteer Special Education Advocate.

Ruth Goldstein

Volunteer Team

Ruth began volunteering and riding at Miracles in Motion in 2014. She has always loved horses, and she says that "As I've gotten older I've appreciated more and more the healing and grounding power of spending time in the company of these amazing creatures." Ruth began volunteering with True Hope in 2018, and became a board member in the Spring of 2019. For her day job, she works at Cheshire Medical Center as the outpatient registered dietitian.

Trisha Ohmart

Board of Directors

Trisha has been a dedicated volunteer for True Hope since 2018 and has been a huge supporter.  Previously, she volunteered and was a barn assistant at Miracles in Motion.

She grew up around horses and caught the horse bug from her Mom.  She began riding when was she was young and has always loved any time she spends with horses.

Trisha also brings a background in hospitality and event management to our team!   

Denise Sargent

Board of Directors

Denise is a long-time horse woman and recently retired teacher. Children and horses have been her life’s work and passion for over thirty- five years. For the last sixteen years she served as an academic evaluator. She also worked as a teacher of special education and a classroom teacher. Denise enjoys facilitating the bond between horses and humans. She is a riding instructor for both riding programs and private individuals. Denise obtained her PATH certification in 2008. She has worked with children and their families in many capacities. Denise has volunteered at the Monadnock Humane Society and has served on the board of directors there. She has recently joined the board of directors of True Hope Therapeutic Horsemanship with the intention of providing life changing opportunities for children and adults. 

Stephanie Sargent

PATH Certified Instructor

Stephanie has been teaching for almost 10 years. She has grown up taking lessons, riding horses, and showing. She rides both English and Western. Stephanie loves trail riding her own horses as well as participating in Gymkhana games on horseback. Stephanie loves seeing what Therapeutic Horsemanship programs gives to families as well as the changes she has seen in Veterans she has worked with. In addition to Therapeutic Horsemanship Stephanie is looking forward to a career in Emergency Services.
